Coordinate changes to computer databases; test and implement databases using database management systems; install, migrate, upgrade and configure Oracle applications and databases on platforms including HP-UX, Linux and SUN Solaris to support business requirements and using Remedy, TOAD, OEM, and ITG Mercury; configure technical environment, perform database tuning; develop and test backup and recovery procedures; develop scripts to automate functions and processes; monitor database usage and storage; troubleshoot, and resolve issues; perform database administration and ensure integrity, security and availability of the Oracle applications systems and databases; mentor junior level administrators. Qualifications Bachelors or foreign equivalent in Engineering or Computer Science followed by 5 years progressive experience in installing, migrating, upgrading and configuring Oracle Applications and Databases in platforms including HP-UX, Linux and SUN Solaris to support business requirements and using Remedy, TOAD, OEM, and ITG Mercury. Job located in Dallas, TX, may be assigned to various unanticipated locations throughout the US.
